It’s been a while since I stayed up all night to watch a match, and I almost turned it off because of India’s dreadful start. By midnight, they had struggled to 31/3 in 5.1, losing both Smriti Mandhana & Harmanpreet Kaur.
Luckily, I don’t resemble a functional, responsible adult, so I stayed up for another three hours just to see what would happen. And god damn, it was brilliant. They sauntered to 181/4 (including a 4-over stretch without a dot!), and then dismantled England’s batting. All with FIVE frontline bowlers out to injury.
