ROUNDUP: Australia have failed Konstas, not the other way around
AUS have failed Konstas, cricket’s unsustainable demand for bats, & the govt blames RCB for the parade deaths.
Good morning!
Geoff Lemon inverts an idea I’ve been getting wrong for a while; Sam Konstas hasn’t failed Australia - the Australia selectors have failed the 19-year old Konstas by inconsistently backing him. It made me think of how India are treating Vaibhav Suryavanshi, and realised their approach is much better.
In other news, the Karnataka government blames RCB for the parade deaths last month. I can’t say I feel much sadness for the irresponsible behaviour of the franchise, but I think the government may be deflecting just a tad. Of course, Indian politicians would never throw someone else under the bus to save their own skin.
