Great article , but nothing about the run outs and how the third umpire did not use the first frame when bails lit up as reference point for run outs

Thought about it, but wasn't sure what could be analysed about the moment. What would you liked to have seen? Something about the DRS umpire's record?

Probably too late to reply, but whole run out check in that game was weird, there were like 3 run outs , where the 3rd umpire didn't consider the first frame where the stump lit up as reference for run outs and they checked for the bail to come out of the groove for considering it as a chance.... I thought this whole scenario was weird and strange, and only ppl who saw the match would have noticed this.... Probably i thought, this thing deserved a write up

First off - never too late to reply! Always looking for feedback, so thanks for this.

I think the reason I didn't ask any of the writers to take a look is because it didn't feel like there was any analysis to be done there. For sure, it was a weird moment (and none of us knew in the moment that the WPL had changed the rules about the bails lighting up) - but that's kind of it?

Plus, I don't think that's why MI lost the match honestly. Just an unfortunate flash point
